Pre-Season Begins Well
Redruth 14 : 22 St Ives
On a wet Friday evening on 18th August a familiar looking squad took on a Redruth side in the first of two pre-season friendlies. It was The Hakes who scored first to take an early lead with a try from Adam Harris. Grant Thirlby converted. Redruth replied to bring the scores level. Speed merchant Matt Burrell put the away side ahead with the next score, before The Reds secured a converted try prior to the interval, thus going ahead 14-12.
From the restart Jamie Prisk went over following a rolling maul and brother Todd completed the scoring with another try to produce a very pleasing win.
Friday 24th August 7:00pm KO
Next Friday the Hakes entertain Camborne RFC at The Recreation Ground in their second pre-season match. All support is most welcome. The bar will be open.
